LDM has specially developed these lead free alloys for manufacturers who now use C36000 (CW614N) and need to come up with a lead free alternative.
LDM offers the following lead free alloys:
BT 100 This lead free alloy can be machined & hot forged very well.
BT 101 For maching applications only.
BT 102 Machining-Forging alloy, soon to be published in ASTM as C27450.
BT 200 For hot forging applications only
Our BlueTap lead free alloys are recyclable with greater ease than other alloys, as our low lead alloys do not contain Bismuth, which is a contaminator to the environment, or Silicon, which is a contaminator to the swarf circulation. On top of that, our lead free alloys are priced more favorable.
