The tensile tester is intensively used on a daily basis for the purpose of testing the mechanical characteristics of the bar stocks or bar material.
Amongst the renovations that are to be performed on the tensile tester, the replacements of the extensometer as well as the operational controls are considered to be the more important ones. In this way the testing equipment will be perfectly suitable for the ever-widening product array of LDM. The upgrade of the tensile tester will be performed by the company Instron. By the end of August 2009 the tensile tester will have undergone the complete adaptation.
