Various alloys available, also on request
LDM customers can request variations to existing standardized alloys to create a so-called customer alloy. An example of a customer alloy is the warm-press alloy CuZn40Pb2 with fewer impurities (e.g. Fe) than norms such as the EN12165 prescribe. This is a very “clean” warm-press alloy that can be used for components that require good surface quality. Variations in the Pb values are also possible for various applications.
The number of possible variations is enormous. If you would also like to request a non-standard alloy or customer alloy, don’t hesitate to contact our Sales Team (click link) who will be too pleased to assist you.
LDM produces more than 100 different brass alloys in its foundry. From standard brass alloys to a large number of non-standard alloys such as dezincification resistant brass, manganese (bronze) brass, ‘high tensil’ brass, silicon bronze brass. You can find all these alloys and descriptions of their properties under “Products”. |
